Fave Art Friday - Yu-Gi-Oh! Alliance Insight

Fave Art Friday: Week 4
Yu-Gi-Oh! | Alliance Insight

Welcome to Fave Art Friday, the series where we go through all cards in an expansion and choose our favourite 10 and try to put them in order!
As always, this series does not take into account a card's rarity, value or input in a game - we're just giving our opinion on the artwork.

So, without any delay, let's get started on The Card Table's countdown of the top 10 best art cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! Alliance Insight:

Number 10 - Chasma, Dragon Ruler Of Auroras

If we're being honest, it's a grown up Spectral, Dragon Ruler Of Flickers... but we love the background and the blue/ white Dragon (not Blue Eyes...). It could have maybe looked more menacing/ powerful, but we still like it enough for it to take 10th spot.

Number 9 - Eclipse, Dragon Ruler Of Catastrophe

Dark, gloomy & powerful - everything we've come to expect from Dragons in Yu-Gi-Oh!. That definitely comes across in the black/ grey/ blues of this card.

Number 8 - Spectral, Dragon Ruler Of Flickers

This reminds us of the classic Baby Dragon (if it'd been painted white), it looks very cute! We love the bright & colourful background too, a complete contract to our number 9 - Spectral, Dragon Ruler Of Flickers definitely belongs on this list

Number 7 - Live Twin Lil-La Sweet

Very Anime-esque, but it really works with Live ☆ Twin Lil-La Sweet. We really like the graffiti background too!

Number 6 - Allied Code Talker @Ignister

Allied Code Talker @Ignister is maybe not ranked as highly on this list as we'd like, but the top 5 are hard to beat. The cover star of the Alliance Insight expansion had to look good though, and it does!

Number 5 - Backup @Ignister

A more simple card than others on this list, some of the details that have been added really make this card pop. Although it's mostly purple, this card really does stand out very nicely.

Number 4 - Diabellstar Vengeance

We could honestly say a lot about this card, but sometimes less is more, so... just look at it!!

Number 3 - Dragon Master Lords

Bright, bold & seriously powerful looking (because it is) - this is what we've come to expect from the big hitting Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and we think this Dragon Master Lords artwork delivers!

Number 2 - Dark Magician Girl The Magician's Apprentice
(Quarter Century Secret Rare)

We've always been a fan of Dark Magician, and therefore Dark Magician Girl, so this was always going to be high up our list - but the bright colours on this one definitely help it to stand out!

Number 1 - Maliss P March Hare
(Quarter Century Secret Rare)

It had to be, right? One of the most sought after Secret Rares, in the final appearance of the Quarter Century Secret Rares! The blue and gold really stand out and we just love it. A worthy number 1, for sure.
