Fave Art Friday: Week 8
Disney Lorcana | Reign Of Jafar
Welcome to Fave Art Friday, the series where we go through all cards in an expansion (announced/ available at the time of writing) and determine our favourite 10 and try to put them in order!
The series does not take into account a card's rarity, value or input in a game - we're just giving our opinion on the artwork.
Reign Of Jafar was released today, so we're celebrating, as usual, with a Fave Art Friday episode dedicated to this amazing new set! Yes, we know it's technically been out for a week already, but online retailers, like us, are only allowed to sell this set from today!
For a set all about Jafar, the standard card list really doesn't emphasise that. Yes, there's several Aladdin-related cards, but there's only one Jafar in the entire set & it's not even an Enchanted!
Anyway, let's get started on The Card Table's countdown of the top 10 best art cards from Disney Lorcana Reign Of Jafar:
****
Number 10 - Lady, Decisive Dog

Possibly one of the brightest cards we've seen, not only in this set, but in the whole of Disney Lorcana so far! Lady looks great, and the lack of detail in the background is made up for by the swishes of gold that you see everywhere!
Number 9 - Captain Hook

The Pirate King himself! We have a lot of love for this card, it is picture perfect - all it's missing is a sneaky Peter Pan or Tinker Bell cameo!
Number 8 - Rapunzel, High Climber

Disney Princess cards are almost always bright & colourful in Lorcana, and Rapunzel is no exception. With the classic colours like pinks & golds, it's clear this is a Princess, before you even see the character!
Number 7 - Jasmine, Steady Strategist

Jafar might not make an appearance as an Enchanted card, so it's only right that one of our top 10 is at least from the same movie. That's not the only reason we've included Jasmine though, this card genuinely is really nice with a clever use of colours & space!
Number 6 - Perdita, Determined Mother

What's not to love about this card? It's bright and eye-catching, with lovely blues and golds everywhere - and most importantly, puppies!
Number 5 - Bambi, Little Prince

Bambi. Looking all cute. Nothing else needs to be said.
Number 4 - Fantastical And Magical

Absolutely stunning. The details, the colours, the design, how it calls back to the Encanto film - this is just an amazing all round card and we can't fault it.
Number 3 - Into The Unknown

It seems to be a common theme among our top picks from this set, but Into The Unknown perfectly captures the essence of Elsa & Frozen. The icy blues and dark into light purple work brilliantly, and we love it!
Number 2 - Stitch, Experiment 626

Bright, colourful & perfectly capturing Stitch's cheekiness & silliness, we love it. If we didn't love our top pick as much as we do, this would've been an easy winner.
Number 1 - It Means No Worries

Possibly one of our favourite Enchanted cards so far! This card perfectly captures everything fans love about the classic film, The Lion King.
